Biography
| Born 1970 in Bialystok, a town upnorth in Poland, near the Russian border, where she lived with her mother Magdalena, until they moved to Stockholm, Sweden in 1978. At the age of seventeen Izabella was discovered by a Swedish filmdirector and got her first leading role in a movie called "No one can love as us" after which she became an idol for many teenagers. She still went to school but had also time for modelling aswell as a singing career. Talanted Izabella had a huge success in Sweden with the album "IZA" with music inspired by the 70ies. After a number of hits, she decided to resume her acting career and took on the leading part in a medieval drama "Tears of St.Petrus" as the jester and seducer Carla Marcellini, who lives her life as a man. When the movie came out in Sweden she got very good response form the press. In January 1995 Izabella became the new Bondgirl, in the role of Natalya, who was the first "politically correct" partner of James Bond/Pierce Brosnan. An amazing movie and an incredible time for Izabella, who got really good reviews for her part aswell as international recognition. After a short break from acting,when becoming a mother of Julia (born in September 1997), Izabella starred in the Polish epic drama "With fire and sword" by the legendary director Jerzy Hoffman, as Helena. The film was released in 1999 and became one of the most popular and seen movies in Polish filmhistory. A very hectic period of time started in 1999 when Izabella got the leading role in a movie directed by Erik Gustavsson (The Telegraphist) called ”The Diver”, a story about the Russian maffaia, against Stefan Sauk,Alexander Skarsgård and Klaus Maria Brandauer, Shortly after this Izabella got to work with Martin Campbell (Goldeneye, The Mask of Zorro) again in ”Vertical limit”. In the movie, a story about mountain climbers trying to reach K2, Izabella, in the role of Monique, plays one of the members in the rescue team starring against Chris O´Donnel, Bill Paxton and Scott Glenn. In the spring 2001 Izabella was filming again, this time in the fantasy tale "Reign of Fire" directed by Robert Bowman (The X files). Izabella plays an helicopterpilot surviving in a men's dominated world, where dragons are threatening the world, which in this movie is a postapocalytic future England. Other leading roles includes names such as Christian Bale and Matthew McConaughey. In 2003 Izabella gives birth to a son called Jacob, but shortly after she works again. A reshoot of the famous movie "The Exorcist" is about to start and great actor Stellan Skarsgård takes on the role as Merrin. Izabella is chosen to play against him and the story takes place before the classical original movie from 1973. The movie is called "Exorsist:The beginning" and is about what happens to Merrin after the World war 2. The movie was released in August 2004 and the director is Renny Harlin,known for Long kiss Goodnight among other famous movies. Izabella has also made a guest apperance recently in one of the hottest TV drama series in the world, Alias, starring against Jennifer Garner. Last summer Izabella has filmed again in Los Angeles in a story called Cougar club and the cast involves Faye Dunaway,Joe Mantegna and Carrie Fisher among others. Coming this fall. She has also had the time to stop by Sweden for Åhléns department store a couple of times, the result can be be seen above and on our webite www.mikas.se along with the beautiful Lindex campaign, shot by John Scarisbrick. During the spring 2007, Izabella, came back to Sweden, to play the carachter of Rebecca Martinsson, in the thriller ”Solstorm”, starring against Mikael Persbrandt, Jakob Eklund, Suzanne Reuter and Krister Henriksson. The movie is based on the bestselling novel by Åsa Larsson. The movie and especially Izabella has got great reviews for her acting, in this story about a young lawyer returning to her hometown after receiving a call from a childhood friend about a brutal murder within the local church, which Rebecca once have left.
