| Fredrik Skavlan´s TV work has primarily been as an interviewer, and this has been the case since the start of his TV career in 1996. Fredrik is the only talk show host in Scandinaviato have been awarded the Norwegian TV´s Golden Chalice prize and Swedish TV´s Chrystal prize --- for the best male talk show host and the best entertainment programme in both countries. The talk show “Skavlan” is a joint effort for Friday prime time where Sweden´s and Norway´s biggest TV channels, the non-commercial Swedish Television (SVT) and the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation (NRK) have come together for the first time ever for a joint programme of this type. “Skavlan” is in fact a natural continuation of Fredrik´s nine year long success story “First and Last” – an entertaining but also serious talk show. Well known and lesser known guests from the worlds of politics, culture, science, entertainment, society and sport come together to talk in front of a live audience in the studio with up to 3 million viewers at home. With a liberal seasoning of non-Scandinavian guests, Fredrik is just at home in English as in his native Norwegian. | |
